Why I am Shaving My Head...

The reason I am shaving my head for epilepsy is my daughter Leah suffered from this condition for years. She had what are called Absence Seizures where she would just blank out without any prior warning. These blank outs would last anywhere from a couple of seconds to several minutes. This had a great impact on her life as she was always in danger of being in an accident, was restricted from driving a car and felt she could not start a family unless the seizures were controlled. She had no success with medications, they caused her all sorts of health issues such as extreme weight loss and severe headaches. Leah had surgery about 7 years ago and has happily been seizure free since. Please join me in helping to raise funds for those still suffering from this condition.
