Resource Counseling

Sometimes it can be hard to know where to start. Our Counsellor & Educators can help you find and access supports in your community.

Information Sessions

If you’re looking for more information about epilepsy, book an education session. We have sessions for anyone in your life who wants to learn more about epilepsy including family, school, daycare, or any community group.

Activities for Kids and Families

At EAC we’ve partnered with local organizations such as Kids up Front, TELUS Spark, and Easter Seals to provide free tickets to fun activities. For these opportunities and more, please connect with us – we can’t wait to hear from you!

Camp Fireworks

Each year EAC offers a one-week sleep-away camp for up to twelve children
with epilepsy between the ages of 9 and 18 to build confidence and experience a greater level of independence, community, and connection.

Currently, 16,200 Albertans under the age of 24 are diagnosed with epilepsy. This is why outreach to the community is so important, the stigma and fear around an epilepsy diagnosis keeps people isolated from the information and help they need to live well with epilepsy.

EAC Memorial Scholarship

Each year, resources permitting, a $1,000 academic scholarship is awarded to further the learning goals of a person aged 25 or under living with a diagnosis of epilepsy.
